In Luke 2:1–7, we see how God speaks through the real circumstances of history to accomplish His redemptive purposes, reminding us that Christmas is both deeply historical and profoundly history-making. From Caesar’s census to Joseph and Mary’s difficult journey and Jesus’ humble birth, God proves He is sovereign over empires, roads, and ordinary moments alike. This sermon invites us to discern God’s voice in our own circumstances and to respond by trusting and embracing Jesus, the humble Savior who stepped into our world to rescue us.
