Despite Israel’s unrepentant sin and hopeless condition, God moves first in grace, calling His people and providing a consecrated deliverer who points forward to the greater promised Son, Jesus Christ. Because of this, we are invited to respond to God’s call by consecrating our lives to Him—turning from lesser things and stepping into His greater purpose.
